The weather in southern Louisiana has been so lovely that we practically had to hold an outdoor event for our last Southern Fashion Bloggers meetup. We couldn’t have asked for better weather and my only regret was not packing a picnic lunch!
Having grown up in Louisiana I’m no stranger to historic homes. Ever since I was a kid I’ve been touring grand old mansions, stately antebellum plantations and other buildings with historical interest. The best part of living in the South are all of the beautiful remnants of such amazing architecture.
Longue Vue is located in Old Metairie, a quick 10 minute drive from New Orleans depending on where y’at. It is definitely worth the short drive and a lovely, relaxing way to spend a few hours or an entire day. To see all photos from the day check out our Facebook page. Thanks to Rachael of Ordinarily Urbane for contributing some of the pictures used here.
Looks like you ladies had such a great time. Can’t wait until the next meet up. XOXO
